Institute of Advanced Studies

Welcome to The University of Western Australia's Institute of Advanced Studies.

Since 2000, when the Institute of Advanced Studies was established, we have been pleased with the opportunities for cross-fertilisation of ideas and research that have become available across our university. The Institute has attracted many of the most dynamic scholars working internationally from all fields of inquiry who have galvanised our campus community of researchers, teachers, and postgraduate students.

Additionally, the public lecture series of the Institute has regularly welcomed the general community of Perth in large and enthusiastic numbers to participate in the University's research work and be involved in discussing the topical issues of the day. We continue the great tradition of being a campus in the community through initiatives such as the Institute of Advanced Studies.
