Jens Hauser
Jens Hauser is a Paris-based curator, writer, and cultural journalist focusing on the interactions between art and technology and transgenre and contextual aesthetics.
In 2003, he organized L’Art Biotech (National Arts and Culture Center, Le Lieu Unique, Nantes/France), a group exhibition that featured eleven artists who employ biotechnology as a means of expression.
His upcoming exhibitions deal with the paradigm of 'skin as technological interface'. Since 1992, Hauser has regularly contributed to the European cultural channel ARTE. He also directs creative radio pieces, documentaries and videos that have been exhibited internationally at museums and art festivals.
Jens is in Perth as curator of the exhibition Still, Living which has been produced by SymbioticA at UWA for BEAP 2007
Hartley Slater
Hartley Slater is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at UWA, having taught philosophy there since 1976. He has written a number of articles on Aesthetics, including one on the whole subject, in the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy He is also prominent in the local visual and performing art worlds, and is on the committee of the Friends of WAAPA.
