AWGSA postgraduate pre-conference workshop

Tuesday 8th July
1pm – 4.30pm,  Old Senate Room (Irwin Street Building)

This session is designed for postgraduate members of AWGSA to meet informally and to enjoy an excellent professional development opportunity. Building on the success of the last postgraduate session at the 2006 Melbourne conference, we are continuing our focus on transitions from postgraduate to postdoctoral status and have assembled a panel of experts ready to talk about critical career development steps. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. Each speaker will address one aspect of career planning and publishing as follows:

  • Career trajectories
  • Applying for and obtaining internal and external grant monies
  • Publishing
