Converging fields of biomedical science/technology: where the action is

The focus of this Masterclass was on advances in biomedical technologies that are enabled when two or more different fields of science and technology intersect.

The topic was introduced by the presentation of research in the convergence of life sciences and photonics and then by the addition of nanotechnologies (nano-bio-photonics).

This included both pre-clinical and clinical applications. This class was of interest to students from any discipline in the physical, biological or medical sciences who wanted to explore how their work could be enhanced by synergising with progress in other fields.
