Feminism’s reputation for excess and spectacle persevere in media images and popular memory, but how do we remember the vision(aries) of earlier feminisms? How is feminism screened? Is there agency in spectacle? How do current shifts in visual culture affect gender relations (does feminism have a SecondLife)? And does it matter, if women are still spectacularly poor in the corporation of the world? This conference is intent on pursuing the visual, memory and spectacle in diverse forms, as well as any topics that further understandings of gender and sexuality, race and class, historically and in contemporary everyday life. It is for everyone interested in contemporary work in women’s studies, feminist activism and gender research.

The preferred method of registration and payment is via the shopping cart by VISA or Mastercard. All  payments are made in Australian Dollars. Fees are inclusive of 10% GST.

On submission of your registration, your information and credit card details will be encrypted and securely forwarded for processing. An email confirming payment and registration will be sent to your nominated email address. Please retain this email as it is your TAX INVOICE and will be the only receipt sent.

Reprints of Tax Invoice and/or receipts will be subject to a $15 administration fee, payable in advance.

MANUAL PAYMENT

A manual payment form can be downloaded here.  Payment must accompany the registration form. Forms without payment will not be processed.

Accommodation

There are a number of excellent hotels in the Perth CBD and along Mount Street. Some suggested lodgings for your visit to Perth can be viewed here. When searching for accommodation, please note that Perth CBD, Subiaco and Nedlands are the most conveniently located areas for daily travel to the University of Western Australia. Please book directly with your chosen hotel.
